The Southeast University Alumni Association in Toronto was established at the end of 2015 and officially registered as a federal non-profit organization in Canada on February 5, 2017.

The Association’s mission is to inherit and promote the excellent traditions and spirit of the university, encourage alumni to give back to their alma mater, and conduct exchanges and collaborations in various fields such as scientific research, academics, and cultural activities; strengthen connections among overseas alumni and help them seek more development opportunities; inherit the essence of national culture, promote scientific and cultural exchanges, and serve society.

The Association’s alumni include all graduates, students, continuing education students, adult education students, international students, and other students who have studied at Southeast University or its predecessors, including Central University, Nanjing Institute of Technology, Nanjing Railway Medical College, Nanjing Transportation College, and Nanjing Geological School, at various academic levels, as well as faculty members, including part-time teachers, honorary professors, visiting professors, and visiting scholars.
