On April 18, 2026, the “Spring Warm-up Tournament of Table Tennis among Four Major Engineering Colleges,” hosted by the Southeast University Toronto Alumni Association, was successfully held in Toronto. Alumni and table tennis enthusiasts from Southeast University, South China University of Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Dalian University of Technology gathered in Toronto to “make friends through table tennis, hone their skills, and enhance camaraderie.” Through matches, they rekindled their campus friendships and shared stories of their school days.

Among overseas Chinese universities, these four engineering colleges from China, known as the “Big Four” in engineering, have always held a pivotal position. Each of these renowned universities possesses a strong foundation and formidable strength, excelling not only academically but also in sports.

This competition was fierce and exciting. South China University of Technology and Huazhong University of Science and Technology continued their strong performances, demonstrating outstanding overall strength and ultimately securing first and second place respectively, showcasing a stable and powerful competitive level. Meanwhile, the match between Southeast University and Dalian University of Technology was equally thrilling, with both sides closely matched and the score locked in a close contest, resulting in several intense games. Ultimately, Southeast University secured third place with a narrow victory in a crucial set, while Dalian University of Technology finished fourth.

The successful hosting of this event received high praise from participants and spectators.
